DIGBETH JAZZ is Birmingham’s biggest and best jazz night.

We are a grassroots promoter of contemporary jazz, bringing audiences a gig and jazz jam session every Tuesday at The Night Owl, Digbeth. We are committed to bringing you world class music every week for the price of a pint.

Starting from humble beginnings as Jazz at The Spotted Dog by Mike Fletcher and Miriam Pau, the night has run weekly, it’s stewardship passed down from generation to generation of members of the Birmingham Jazz scene, growing steadily over the last 15 years.

In late August 2024, the night had grown so much it was time for us to move on to bigger things. We rebranded as DIGBETH JAZZ and moved to The Night Owl, continuing the night’s legacy dedicated to being “at the centre of the UK’s vibiest jazz scene” (Timeout, 2023)
